Sand Springs Development was founded by Dennis Cantwell on March 17, 1989, following his successful home business in New Jersey before relocating to Florida. For over 35 years, Sand Springs Development has specialized in the luxury home market in Lee and Collier County, crafting award-winning homes in prestigious subdivisions such as Bonita Bay, Quail West, The Forest, Port Royal, and along the Gulf of Mexico coastline. Our homes have garnered numerous accolades, including the prestigious Aurora Award from the Florida Home Builders and recognition for Best House design over 4500 sq. ft. in the country by the National Association of Home Builders. Sand Springs homes have been prominently featured in national and local publications such as Home and Gardens and Professional Builder magazine.

As a family-owned and operated business, Sand Springs Development has thrived with the involvement of Dennis' wife Pat, their three daughters, and sons-in-law, all of whom have contributed to the company's success. Dylan Cantwell, Dennis' grandson, has earned his state contractor license and plays a vital role in the day-to-day construction and subcontractor management.

Currently, Dennis and Pat oversee and provide consultation for the business, while Kim Cantwell-Mastrole manages daily business administration. Sand Springs Development has been honored as Builder of the Year by the Bonita Springs Chamber and three times by the Lee County Builder Association.

Dennis Cantwell's leadership extends beyond the confines of the company, having served as President of the Lee County Builder Association three times and as Area Vice President of the Florida Home Builder Association. He chaired the Florida Home Builder Association Building Codes and Standards Committee during the development of the Florida Building Code, playing a pivotal role in its establishment.
